Eastwest Healthcare’s inspiring story started in a 20 square foot humble office space in our current operations hub, Makati Executive Center. The company was built with four men’s expertise in healthcare management as pillars, fueled by a common passion for improving the lives of others through better healthcare. Today, we are privileged to live the same passion every day as we connect with our partners and communities to provide Filipinos better access to care. 

The company started as One Pacific Prime Solutions; a brokerage firm of 3 employees presenting informed choices to clients using different HMO providers in 2002. In just 3 years, the Insurance Commission ranked the said company as the country’s 3rd largest brokerage firm (in terms of the number of lives) offering healthcare benefits to its clients. This incredible feat surpassed renowned players in the industry who had been in the business for decades. 

Challenged by finding solutions posed by restrictive healthcare plans and servicing issues by HMO provider companies, the group started building its own network of medical facilities, caregivers and dentists nationwide. In 2006, Eastwest Healthcare was born. Our former Chairman; Jaime Porciuncula along with his partners, Tano Diaz and Jay Irabon continued the passion for which the company was built on. The name and logo symbolize the energy, integrity, dynamic experience, and vision for the growth of its pioneers. The organization continues to grow as we engineer and introduce new and most flexible products in the market. 

In 2015, Eastwest was among a handful of players granted licenses to offer healthcare programs by the Insurance Commission having complied with all of its stringent requirements. In 2021 we are the first in the industry to conform with the Commissions’ three-point financial stability test; risk-based capitalization, net worth, and liquidity requirements. 

Our portfolio continues to grow in our niche market as our more than 200 workforce nationwide serves more than 130,000 members and 600+ corporate clients, mostly from the manufacturing, manpower, and seafarers’ industry. Eastwest boasts of being one of the most accepted HMO cards preferred by our more than 1,700 medical and dental facilities and 30,000 partner specialists and caregivers nationwide. 

The year 2020 marks a new era in the organization’s history as we rise from the pandemic with renewed energy and fresh ideas. The immense undertaking was to showcase our years of expertise in managing people, finances, and healthcare systems. Advanced medical and accounting software, hardware, and communication systems were paired with the company’s renewed brand and spirit. The brand name was updated using softer fonts and warmer hues, true to the company’s nurturing and community spirit. Brandmark was refreshed to serve as a beacon of hope, strength, and life.
